The Best Boozy Advent Calendars of 2025

Another year has come and gone, and while most of us (see below!) measure the rest of the year with our phones or an old-fashioned glossy paper calendar, the end of the year is generally reserved for opening a little door on an advent calendar and enjoying the treat inside. In our case that treat is whiskey. Or gin. Or beer. Or wine.

As always, some of these sell out early, so order them as soon as you can. We’ve even tossed in a couple of coffee and spice options, which can either be enjoyed on their own or used as mixers and garnishes for your favorite cocktails.

Flaviar 2025 Advent Calendar

Flaviar 2025 Advent Calendar

Spirits tasting kit club Flaviar has what may be the sine qua non boozy advent calendar at this point. Highly in-demand, heavily advertised, and delivering a unique collection and theme each year (this year it’s vintage air travel), this is the calendar a recipient will immediately recognize if you are kind enough to gift it to them, instead of keeping it for yourself.

Though the site is member-driven, you don’t need to be a member to pick up this fantastic collection of 24 unique 50ml bottles of whiskey representing a whopping seven different countries this year, including the usual suspects (Scotland, Ireland, the U.S., Japan) and intriguing choices like China and Finland. Some of these samples retail for over $200 for the full bottle. You’ll also receive two Glencairn glasses for sipping, a “Tasting Passport” QR code with guided tasting videos, and a “Boarding Pass” for a year’s free membership to the club.

Vinebox 2025 Advent Bright and Bold Collections

Vinebox 2025 Advent Bright and Bold Collections

If wine is your jam, Vinebox offers two collections, one covering 12 nights (12 nights of Christmas, or perhaps Hanukkah with some leftovers?) and one covering the more common 24 nights. The fairly large box features different 100ml samples (each one is good for two pours), representing two collections (one collection per 12-sample box, or both in the 24).

The “Bold” Collection features 9 reds and 3 whites, with an emphasis on structure, flavor, and big presentations. The “Bright” Collection consists of whites, reds, and rosés that explore rich fruit notes and light, clean citrus. The wines are from around the world, and the box includes a wine guide, and a link to sommelier-led tasting notes. And if you don’t get to every sample by the end of the year, no problem: They’re designed to stay tasty for up to 3 years, unopened.
