Bar Convent Brooklyn 2026: What to Know
Bar Convent Brooklyn returns on June 9 and 10, 2026.
The 8th iteration of Bar Convent Brooklyn returns to Industry City on June 9 and 10 for a packed two days of educational programming, demonstrations, and exhibits — not to mention tastings, receptions, and all-out parties that continue around New York well beyond the “official” close time of 7 p.m. during the days of the event. Safe to say, other than the storied cocktail conference that takes place in the summer heat of the Big Easy, the Big Apple’s Bar Convent Brooklyn is the year’s must-attend event for anyone with a stake in the beverage industry, from bartenders, beverage directors, and bar owners to importers, distributors, and other beverage entrepreneurs.
“BCB Brooklyn has evolved significantly over the past several years into a must-attend gathering for the global bar and beverage industry, growing its exhibitor base, education programming, and experiential offerings year after year,” says Jackie Williams, Event Vice President of BCB Brooklyn, adding that this year’s event features “expanded education, new exhibitor categories, and enhanced VIP experiences.” (As an acronym, BCB Brooklyn distinguishes it from its sister event, Bar Convent Berlin, the original BCB.) “I anticipate that momentum and attendance will only continue to grow.” Registration for BCB Brooklyn 2026 is now open.
Bar Convent Brooklyn’s Jackie Williams
Bar Convent Brooklyn 2026 is shaping up to be especially crucial. “A theme right now is the reality of running hospitality businesses in a challenging economic environment,” Williams says. “The industry is taking a careful approach to pricing, ownership models, and how to build in sustainable terms,” making the sharing of insight and best practices a key driver for attendance.
But don’t expect the two days to be entirely mired in the inherent challenges of hospitality. “At the same time, there is an incredible amount of creativity happening behind the bar,” Williams says, “with bartenders experimenting with fermentation, global ingredients, and new approaches to flavor development, from house ferments to savory cocktails and unexpected botanical flavors.”
Thought leadership, practical solutions to shared problems, all balanced by the heady fun only the coming together of the greater beverage industry can offer? Here’s everything (else) you need to know about Bar Convent Brooklyn 2026.
BCB Brooklyn at a Glance
More than 65 first-time exhibitors will be at BCB Brooklyn 2026.
In 2025, Bar Convent Brooklyn welcomed more than 275 brand exhibitors — mainly spirituous products, but also no- and low-ABV beverage brands, bar accessories and tools, and other bartender resources. As of this writing, 65 vendors have registered as first-time exhibitors in 2026, making for an even more robust and diverse slate.
“There is strong momentum around new product launches and emerging categories, as brands use BCB Brooklyn to introduce what’s next,” Williams says, both among exhibitors and in educational programming. “BCB Brooklyn often becomes the place where those business conversations, product discoveries, and creative ideas come together.”
Intimate seminars will focus on hands-on learning and practical skills.
Educational sessions at BCB Brooklyn, selected by a seven-member committee helmed by Head of Education and industry veteran Lynnette Marrero, promise tremendous insight from industry icons and innovators, spread across a multitude of spaces: the Main Stage, two Liquid Lounges, and Park Street University, plus a VIP lounge for more intimate sessions limited to those with certain VIP badges, and a new-for-2026 Workshop Stage, “which focuses on hands-on learning and practical skills that bartenders can immediately apply in their businesses,” according to Williams.
Bar Convent Brooklyn 2026 Highlights
The expanded Courtyard will play a bigger role at BCB Brooklyn this year.
In addition to the new Workshop Stage, which will include hands-on sessions such as Mastering Cocktail Photo and Video Content, Craft Ice, and Beer and Spirit Pairing, “the expanded Courtyard will play a larger role this year,” Williams says.
The Courtyard — already a cherished photo-op space for the event — will be “anchored by a dedicated bar featuring some of New York’s top bartenders, alongside activations like the Garnish Garden,” which she describes as “an immersive space where attendees can explore and personalize drinks through fresh garnishes while creating opportunities for discovery and connection beyond the traditional show floor.”
Highlighting exceptional products across all spirit categories, the 2026 New York International Spirits Competition awards, whose judging will have taken place in May, will also be presented as a session during BCB.
Williams also calls attention to a session that speaks to understanding the current demographic of drinkers, a key issue not only for brands but also for on-premise and off-premise operators alike. She’s particularly excited about the Park Street University session Generational Consumer Breakdown: From Gen-Z to Boomers. According to its description, the session “breaks down the distinct values, behaviors, and consumption patterns that define each generation’s relationship with alcohol, from Gen Z’s moderation-first mindset to Boomers’ spending power and underestimated openness to discovery.”
“As the industry is experiencing a real generational shift in how people approach drinks, it’s more important than ever for brands and operators to understand what’s driving those changes,” she says. “For anyone in the business, having a clearer understanding of these evolving consumer dynamics is incredibly valuable.”
