Announcing Editor in Chief: Amy Sherman

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a food and drinks writer and editor. I’ve contributed stories about beer, wine, and spirits to trade publications like Cheers and Open for Business and consumer publications including Wine Enthusiast and VinePair. I also wrote Wine Passport: Portugal. Since May of this year, I’ve been the editor in chief of our sister site, the Cheese Professor, and will continue to lead that site as well. 

The Alcohol Professor launched in 2011 and founding editor Amanda Schuster, in partnership with publisher Adam Levy, have built a well-respected site with a formidable roster of expert contributors and a loyal following. The site has served and will continue to serve both enthusiasts and industry insiders with compelling original content related to beer, wine, and spirits.

I’m excited to help guide the Alcohol Professor into its next phase, along with our talented team. You’ll find even more of the great content you’ve come to expect from writers old and new, and we have plans to improve site-wide navigation and provide you with more expertise and unique content you won’t find elsewhere.
