By now, we're all familiar with Irish Coffee and Espresso Martinis, in which real brewed coffee is the star ingredient. However, the Coffee Cocktail, which has been around since the late 1800s, only looks like coffee once prepared, but there is no coffee or anything bitter in the recipe whatsoever. Not only is this Cognac-based flip style drink delicious, it's a fun one to prepare for people who say they don't like coffee. "I hate coffee."

"I know. Trust me."

"But..."

"Shhhhh! You'll love it. If not, then more for me!"

Let's watch bartender Lucinda Sterling of Manhattan's Middle Branch and Brooklyn's Seaborne bars demonstrates how to prepare this classic. Here she uses Cabral 20 Year Tawny Port, (the 10 year won a gold medal in the 2016 NY International Wine Competition), and Maxime Trijol Elegance Grand Champagne Cognac, gold medal winner in the 2016 NY International Spirits Competition. Cheers!
